The Promise, in One Paragraph
When Lightwell Windows & Doors finishes a job at your home, the work is covered for 365 days from the service date – no asterisks, no form to file, no receipt to hunt down. If something we installed or repaired isn’t right, we come back, we fix it, and we don’t charge you for the return visit. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it sits inside every job we do under the Cedarwell Care Promise. Written price up front, clean house when we leave, and a guarantee that means exactly what it says.
What’s Covered
- Our workmanship, start to finish. If a window we installed rattles, binds, leaks air, or sits out of square within 365 days, that’s on us.
- Parts and materials we supplied and installed. Every product we sourced – whether it came from PGT, CGI, Therma-Tru, ViewLux, or any of the other brands we carry – is covered for the full 365-day window.
- A return visit at no charge. Scheduling a callback costs you nothing: no trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no hourly rate.
- A full redo if the repair doesn’t hold. If we come back and the fix doesn’t stick, we don’t call it done – we do it again until it is.
- A clean house when we leave, again. Shoe covers, drop cloths, and a photo of the finished cleanup apply to every return visit, not just the first one.
- Honest attention to anything that concerns you. If something looks or sounds off and you’re not sure whether it’s related to our work, call us. We’ll look at it and tell you straight.
What Isn’t Covered
We want to be upfront about the edges of this promise, because a guarantee you can actually rely on has to be honest about what it doesn’t include.
- Damage from a storm, impact, or accident after we left. If a hurricane pushes through or a door takes a hard hit, that’s not a workmanship issue – but call us anyway and we’ll come take a look and give you an honest assessment.
- Work performed by another contractor after our install. If someone else touches the window, door, or surrounding frame after we finished, we can’t stand behind what we didn’t do.
- Parts or materials the customer supplied. We can only guarantee products we sourced and installed ourselves. If you brought the hardware or the unit to the job, the coverage doesn’t extend to those pieces.
- Normal wear on equipment we didn’t install. Weatherstripping that was already worn, hardware that was already stiff – if it was existing when we arrived and you chose to leave it as-is, it falls outside the promise.
- Problems you asked us not to fix. If we flagged something during the job and you decided to hold off, we document that in your file. We won’t come back and call that an oversight on our part – but we will come back when you’re ready to address it.
- Cosmetic variations in materials that are within normal manufacturer tolerances. Slight grain differences in a door finish or a minor color shift from lot to lot aren’t defects. We’ll always show you samples before the job starts so there are no surprises.
How to Use the Promise
Step 1: Call us or book online
Reach us at (562) 478-8017 – a real person answers, any time of day or night, any day of the year. If you prefer, you can book a callback through our website; either way, you’re talking to someone who can actually schedule your return visit.
Step 2: Tell us about the job
Just describe what you’re seeing and roughly when the original work was done. We have your job on file – no receipt, no paperwork, no confirmation number required on your end.
Step 3: We schedule the return visit
We’ll find a time that works for your household, including quiet windows if you have young kids or a pet that needs a settled house. There’s no fee to schedule, no form to complete, and no waiting period.
Step 4: We make it right
When we arrive, we assess what happened and we fix it – same C.A.R.E. standards as the first visit, same cleanup photo before we leave. If the first fix doesn’t hold, we’re back until it does.
Timing
The 365-day window opens on the date your job was completed and closes exactly one year later. If you raise a concern a few days past that date, we don’t slam the door – we’re reasonable people, and we’ll come look. Each Lightwell location is independently owned and operated, but every location is part of the Cedarwell network and every one honors this promise on the same terms. The promise isn’t a corporate policy handed down from a distant office; it’s a commitment each owner makes directly to the families they serve.
