Franchise Investment Overview
We believe in writing the price down before anyone picks up a tool. That habit extends to this page. What follows is a straight look at what it costs to open a Lightwell Windows & Doors territory, based on the equipment, vehicles, training, and launch support a new owner actually needs. These are ballpark ranges, not a contract. Our goal is to give you a realistic frame so you can decide whether a deeper conversation is worth your time. No surprises, no pressure, just numbers in writing.
Estimated Startup Investment
The figures below reflect a single-territory launch with one installation crew and one sales vehicle. Ranges exist because real estate, vehicle condition, and local marketing costs move from market to market. We would rather show a wide honest band than a narrow guess.
| Category | Estimated Range |
|---|---|
| Franchise Fee | $49,500 – $59,500 |
| Equipment & Vehicles | $28,000 – $47,000 |
| Initial Marketing & Brand Launch | $12,000 – $22,000 |
| Working Capital (first 6 months) | $30,000 – $55,000 |
| Total Estimated Investment | $119,500 – $183,500 |
Working capital matters more than most people expect. A window and door business has a gap between ordering product from manufacturers like PGT, CGI, or Therma-Tru and collecting final payment. That gap is real and predictable, and you need cash set aside to bridge it without stress. We would rather you open with too much runway than not enough.
What’s Included
- Brand license and territory rights. You operate as Lightwell Windows & Doors under the Cedarwell Care Promise, with a defined local service area so you are not competing against another Lightwell owner down the street.
- Initial training for you and your lead technician. Product knowledge across eight manufacturer brands, measurement protocol, installation standards, and customer communication built around the C.A.R.E. values.
- Launch marketing package. A structured local opening plan including digital presence setup, initial search and social campaigns, and print materials tailored to your territory.
- Operating systems and quoting tools. Access to the systems we use for written upfront pricing, job scheduling, and customer follow-up so the no-hassle pricing promise is consistent from the first estimate.
- Ongoing brand development and vendor relationships. You tap into established manufacturer access across PGT, CGI, CWS, ES Windows, ECO Window Systems, Mr-Glass, Therma-Tru, and ViewLux, plus shared purchasing guidance.
- Field support and quality framework. Guidance on crew training, the 365-Day Done Right Promise process, and the Cedarwell Care Promise standards including shoe covers, drop cloths, clean-up photos, and pet-safe product choices.
Financing & Next Steps
Third-party financing commonly exists for equipment, vehicles, and portions of the startup cost. Some owners finance the vehicle package separately from the working capital line, which keeps monthly obligations cleaner in the first year. We can point you toward lenders who have worked with window and door businesses before and understand the equipment-heavy nature of the model. We do not offer financing ourselves and we do not earn referral fees from lenders.
To get exact numbers for your market, the next step is a conversation. You will speak with Keith Yamada, Owner at Lightwell Windows & Doors, or a member of our team. We will ask about your target territory, your timeline, and your capital range. Then you receive the official documents with the real figures. Qualification takes a few weeks, not a few months, and we will not rush you through it.
If you would like the info kit and a call, reach us at (562) 478-8017 or request the kit below. A real person answers, day or night.
These figures are non-binding marketing estimates for planning purposes only; official investment figures are provided in the franchise disclosure documents during the qualification process and vary by market.
